For CFDA and Vogue eyewear, September meant an extraordinary collaboration with some of the biggest fashion bloggers in the industry: the launch of their second annual capsule collection. Yeohlee Teng, Monica Botkier, and Rebecca Minkoff were the designers selected by Vogue to design sunglasses inspired by American cities. The bloggers Image source: Teen Vogue Yeohlee Teng picked L.A. for inspiration, and designed cat eye sunglasses with ombre lenses: "L.A. has a car culture, so you need the coolest glasses for the coolest car,” she said. Monica Botkier went for a pair of bright red shades, with metallic insertions, to celebrate Miami: "I feel naked if I don’t have sunglasses on me. All year round, all the time. A must-have," said Monica. Finally, Rebecca Minkoff was inspired by New York city, and designed an updated version of the Wayfarer sunglasses. The three designers are pairing up with fashion bloggers (Sea of Shoes, Aimee Song and Natalie Off Duty) to document the creative process of designing and producing eyewear.
