English actress Kate Beckinsale has just signed on to star in the upcoming film Contraband, a remake of the Icelandic thriller known as Reykjavik-Rotterdam. (No wonder they changed the name for American audiences!) Mark Wahlberg, is also in the movie. Kate appeared in the smash hit Pearl Harbor opposite Ben Affleck in 2001, so she’s used to starring with Hollywood hunks. By the way, she can also be seen in Underworld, The Aviator, Van Helsing and Nothing But the Truth, among others.
