What is “baroque”? It is a period in the history of art, characterized by tension, opulence and drama, the exaggeration of shapes and motion. What is “minimal baroque” then? It is a phrase based on opposite words, which Prada uses to define their latest - limited edition - sunglasses for women. The deluxe models come in brown, black and cobalt blue, combined with white, which makes you think of parget, to a certain extent. They are distinguishable through their baroque ornamentations, which make them modern, as well as a bit out of this world. Three talented illustrators, Ivo Bisignano, Marcela Gutierrez and Andrea Tarella, were given the chance to give their own interpretation on this line.
