After 26 years, the young line of Dolce&Gabbana has reached its end, thus making the spring-summer 2012 collection its last one. Nothing in the campaign announces the sad news, though. Male and female models gather together in very busy prints, lots of sunshine and lots of tan. The ad is suggestive of a spectacular summer getaway, opulent and glam. If the apparel campaign for D&G this fall was shot by Mario Testino with seven male and female models, it was the same photographer that shot the eyewear campaign of the brand. Although there are only a couple of pictures currently available for preview, we can make an idea about the new fall-winter collection. We find rounded shapes for women and rectangular ones for men, in what concerns eyeglasses. As for the sunglasses, the ones in the preview are round and oversized for women, while those for men come in a classic aviator shape, both having really dark frames and lenses. This is an interesting choice, given that the clothes in the collection are incredibly colorful, with mixed prints and styles. The shapes and tones of the D&G sunglasses for fall seem to be particularly created for celebrities, as they show no eyes and cover most of the face. They could also be quite useful to cover up after a long night.
